Laurel’s session near Freeman High School

1. Katy Heritage Homes / Heritage Park

  • Historic houses, porches, and rustic charm.

  • Perfect for timeless, classy shots.

  • Tip: Golden hour makes the wood + brick glow.

2. Wildflower Threads Studio

If you didn’t know this studio existed then you are welcome!! It is super affordable and perfect for minis, solo shoots, smash cake, and more. It isn’t huge, but it is very convenient!

3. John Paul Landing Park

  • Tall grass & pretty paths

  • Nature meets structure for variety in shots.

4. MKT Bar and Rice Silos

  • Industrial backdrop with bold textures.

  • Edgy, minimal, dramatic look.

  • Tip: Best paired with soft outfits for contrast.

5. Willow Fork Park

  • Wide open spaces, greenery, and water features.

  • Ideal for dramatic silhouettes and natural looks.

  • Tip: Morning or golden hour only β€” midday sun is brutal.

6. Mason Road Skate Center

  • Fun & different

  • Just have to pay for skates!

7. Downtown Katy

  • Chic shopping center with murals + architecture.

  • Upscale, polished look for fashionable seniors.

  • Tip: Weekdays and early mornings = fewer crowds.

8. George Bush Park

  • Natural setting, tall grass

  • Perfect field for pictures!

9. Mary Jo Peckham Park

  • Lake, trails, trees, and piers.

  • Peaceful, romantic, almost storybook.

  • Tip: Busy in evenings, so aim for mornings.

10. Cane Island Conservatory

  • Pretty greenhouse, landscaping. and trees.

  • Elegant + modern backdrops.

  • Tip: Works great with spring dresses or sharp suits.
